Maya Messaoudi, designer and personal shopper, is passionate about fashion and colors.

She created the brand Oued Soya® in her Parisian apartment in 2018 with the desire to add originality and personality to basic clothes and accessories to transform them into upgraded and beautiful unique garments.

She has always loved wearing original and personalized clothes, like for example men’s shirts that she likes to repurpose into more feminine pieces.

Her work is inspired by different cultures, but a lot of her creations have an Arab and Berber touch reminiscent of Arab, a nod to her beloved origins.

However, as she is familiar with French haute couture and has been involved with Northern African ethnic fashion throughout her career, she has tried to draw inspiration from the best of both worlds.

“Having been exposed to both French haute couture and ethnic Northern African fashion throughout my carreer, I seek to harvest the best of both worlds. I came to the realization that what makes a girl feel most special no matter where in the world, is a handmade unique piece so that has become my concept. Be unique!”
